I know what you mean with the Rosalia track, and I'm wondering if this is a sound that just makes sense from the Reggaeton direction (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db2OLvdhsDk, I'm sure there tons of other examples)...
Thanks for the Autechre intro, now I'm going to go listen to them forever!
Glad you dug the Autechre. They have an endless catalog, so you can definitely listen to them forever.
FYI, in case you haven't heard it yet, the quintessential 90s electronic record is "Music Has the Right to Children" by Boards of Canada. Much more accessible than Autechre, but has a lot of the same vibes of the artists you listed. If you like Four Tet and Bibio and Baths, you have to check it out.
Amazingly, Four Tet has been making music since the 90s. He's still at it!
So I have never been able to get into Boards of Canada, for me it's actually less accessible than Autechre, maybe just because I prefer more movement/higher energy. But maybe one day I will get there...
Autechre @ DEMF was a great show! That whole event was something special the first few years.
Incunabula came out when I was 16. We’re old, my dude.
we are, but what if we lean into it?
Oh, I'm leaning all the way into it.
I have never heard of Autechre but the sound is so familiar that it's clear how ubiquitous their influence is. Other than what you mentioned, I hear them in Bibio (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ewfl-PAO9Cw), Baths (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8I6_lXFip3U) - (these coincidentally coming from two of my perfect high school-era records) - Deerhoof (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSsnBbEavGE), and Four Tet (https://youtu.be/kdvgoLqtWGs?si=aQD4TRY10W4_O0uS), though these are all indeed warmer and more accessible than what I've heard so far of Autechre.

Speaking of BoC, Matus Telgarsky (who is a huge fan) hipped me onto this gloriousness: https://www.nts.live/shows/wxaxrxp/episodes/boards-of-canada-23rd-june-2019
